What is a website link analyzer?+
A website link analyzer follows pages and records the links between them. It helps you inspect source pages, destinations, anchor text and response codes together. This gives you a practical map of the site’s crawlable HTML, rather than a list of URLs without context.
Is FreeSiteExplorer.com really free? Do I need an account?+
Yes. You can start an analysis without signing up, entering payment details or buying credits. Fair-use limits keep the crawler available to everyone. A standard crawl analyzes up to 300 pages, subject to depth, time and website access limits.
What does the free internal link checker show?+
It shows incoming links, unique linking pages, outgoing links and crawl depth. Use those relationships to spot pages that receive little attention within your site. Internal Link Strength compares pages within the same crawl; it is not an external authority metric.
Can this tool find broken links and check outbound links?+
Yes. It records HTTP responses for crawled pages and checks a limited number of unique outbound destinations. A 404 or 410 suggests the destination is unavailable. A timeout, access restriction or server error may be temporary, so verify the destination before removing a useful link.
What is a potential orphan page?+
It is a page discovered through a sitemap or another discovery source with no incoming internal links found in this crawl. A partial crawl cannot prove that no links exist elsewhere. JavaScript navigation, blocked pages and crawl limits all affect what we can see, so candidates need manual review.
What is anchor text analysis?+
Anchor text is the readable label of a link. The report groups repeated anchors and distinguishes internal and outbound links, image links and empty labels. Generic wording such as “read more” can be an opportunity to add context, but it is not automatically an SEO problem.
How is the Link Health Score calculated?+
Six categories cover internal linking, distribution, orphan and low linked pages, outbound health, anchor text and technical link health. The report exposes each category’s points. Categories without applicable evidence are excluded and remaining weights are normalized. The result is our diagnostic score, not a Google metric.
Does it calculate backlinks, Domain Rating or search traffic?+
No. We analyze links found on the website you submit. We do not operate an external backlink index and do not estimate traffic, keyword rankings, Domain Rating or Domain Authority. An outbound link found on your site is not a backlink count for that site.
Can it analyze websites that rely on JavaScript?+
The crawler reads HTML returned by the server without running a browser. Links added only after JavaScript executes may be missing. Server-rendered navigation usually provides more complete discovery. Robots rules, login requirements and access controls can also limit coverage.
How long are reports available?+
Reports expire after the configured retention period, normally 24 hours. Anyone with the unguessable report link can access it until it expires. Export the tables you need before then, and avoid submitting URLs containing private tokens or sensitive query parameters.
